Death
On 6 July 2023, she was found dead in a bathroom. She was invited to perform at the 33rd Regular Concert of the Gimcheon Municipal Choir, which was a joint concert with the Mokpo Municipal Choir. When it was time for her performance and she did not appear for it, an event staffer went to look for her and found her dead body in the women’s bathroom on the third floor of the concert’s venue. In an interview, the event staffer talked about it and said,
It was time for Lee Sang Eun to come on stage, but she wasn’t backstage. When I looked in the bathroom, I found her lying on the floor.” [3]Koreaboo
According to sources, the police investigated the incident; however, they did not suspect any foul play.
