Jyoti Kumari was born on Monday, 28 April 1997 (age 27 years; as of 2024) in Masaurhi, Patna, Bihar. Her zodiac sign is Taurus.

She was the topper in classes 10 and 12. She pursued a degree in Zoology from B.L.P. College, Masaurhi, Bihar. She used to teach around 30 students studying in primary classes before trying out for Bigg Boss 11.

Career
After graduating from college, Jyoti auditioned to enter Bigg Boss season 11 (Padosi Bajayenge Barah) and was chosen as a commoner. She was evicted from the house on Day 28 by public vote. She revealed that she was done studying and wanted to become an actress.

In the house, she became close to co-contestant and TV producer Vikas Gupta. About a year after Bigg Boss 11 ended, in 2019, Vikas Gupta announced that he had sent Jyoti to acting school and she was being groomed for her launch as an actress.

When a fan page claimed that Vikas hadn’t given them the money, he tweeted that he had sent the money to Jyoti and spent Arshi’s share on a good cause as she didn’t need it.
