Deepak Kumar Mishra started writing street plays when he was a college student. The famous Indian director Joshi Paul gave him a chance to work under him during his college days. Later, he quit his job at a US Air Force agency named Aerospace Research and Development to join the Indian film industry. Deepak Kumar Mishra made his assistant directorial debut with the film Om Shanti Om in 2017. He started working as an associate creative director at Viral Field Fever Media Labs in 2012. In 2013, Deepak Kumar Mishra started working as an actor in a supporting role in the film Sulemani Keeda. In the same year, he appeared in a parody titled TVF rowdies in which he portrayed Raghu Ram. Deepak Kumar Mishra worked as an assistant director in the film Happy New Year in 2018. The renowned Bollywood actors Sonu Sood, Shah Rukh Khan, and Deepika Padukone were cast in the film.
