Death
On Sunday, 28 June 2020, her dead body was found from a bed box in her beauty parlour. Reportedly, one of her neighbours, Arif brutally murdered her on Friday, 26 June 2020 and kept her virtually alive by posting videos on her TikTok account.
Shivani’s sister, Sweta said,
Arif had come to meet Shivani on June 26. She did not return home that night and I made frantic calls and messages to her telling that our mother was ill. I got a message from her phone, saying she was fine and in Haridwar and would be back by Tuesday.”
Shivani’s neighbour had complained about a foul smell coming from the parlour. One of her friends, Neeraj went to the parlour to check the reason behind the foul smell. He was the first person to find the dead body of Shivani in a bed box. According to Shivani’s father, Arif was a psyco lover and had been following her for the last three years. Shivani’s father said,
We had moved the police that took action and he had even apologised. But he never left my daughter and took revenge.”
Later, Arif confessed that he had murdered her; as he used to like her and she had stopped talking to him for the previous 15 days, which disturbed him and Arif went to her salon where the whole incident took place. The local police of Kundali, Sonipat charged Aarif for the destruction of evidence and SC/ST (Prevention of atrocities) Act. [2]Jansatta

The accused Aarif has confessed to the murder. He not only murdered the woman but also was in conversation with her family throughout the night of the murder. Aarif will be presented in the court after undergoing a COVID-19 test. The accused strangulated the woman using a dupatta and stuffed her body in the bed used by Neeraj. The murder came to light after Neeraj spotted foul smell emanating from the salon. He then found Shivani’s body from the box.”
