Career
He initiated his kabaddi training with Alanthankarai, which is known as one of the strongest teams in Kanyakumari district. Before that, he received guidance from coach Ravi at the academy where he was training. He represented Alanthankarai Academy at domestic and district-level Kabaddi tournaments.
Pro Kabaddi League
In 2014, Chandran Ranjith made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in the first season with Telugu Titans.

After spending another season with Telugu Titans, he joined the Gujarat Fortune Giants in Pro Kabaddi Season 5 for Rs 6 lakhs. In 2018, Dabang Delhi K.C. invested Rs 61.25 lakhs to purchase him in Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 and Rs 70 lakhs a year later to retain him for Season 7 of PKL. Ranjith has participated in 42 Pro Kabaddi League matches, leading his team in scoring with 216 points. His highest career points in a single game are 12. In Season 7, he played 22 matches and executed a total of 262 raids, resulting in 118 raid points. In 2021, he was bought by Bengaluru Bulls for Rs 80 lakhs for PKL season 8. In season 8, he played a total of 19 matches in which he earned 185 total raid points and one super tackle. In a match against Patna Pirates, one of his raids was titled the ‘Move of the Day.’
For PKL season 9, Gujarat Giants purchased him for Rs 30 lakhs in 2022. In the league, he was chosen as the captain of the team and played 17 matches in which he earned 95 raid points out of a total of 162 raids. In season 10 of PKL, his auction price increased from Rs 30 lakhs in season 9 to Rs 62 lakhs. He was bought by the Haryana Steelers.
