Anjum Rehbar is a noted Indian poetess and lyricist. She writes poems and lyrics in Urdu and Hindi languages. Her musical focus lies in the genres of ghazals and geets. She is famous for being the ex-wife of the renowned Urdu poet and Bollywood lyricist Rahat Indori.
Anjum Rehbar was born on Monday, 17 September 1962 (age 61 years; as of 2023) in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. After completing her school education, she enrolled in Jiwaji University in Gwalior and attained a postgraduate degree in Urdu Literature.

In 1988, Anjum Rehbar got married to Rahat Indori who was a lyricist in Bollywood and an Urdu poet. The couple got divorced in 1993. Later, Indori remarried while Rehbar remained single.
Anjum has a son named Sameer Rahat from Rahat Indori. Sameer is a music director.
Rahat Indori died in 2020 due to cardiac arrest.

Anjum Rehbar started performing at poetry events in 1977, and later, she appeared in many poetry shows on national TV channels like ABP News, SAB TV, Sony Pal, ETV Network, and DD Urdu.
She frequently presents her poetry on Doordarshan and was featured on SAB TV’s show Wah! Wah! Kya Baat Hai! in 2013. Anjum appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show’s Holi special episode on Sony Entertainment in 2019 and impressed the audience with her poetry.
On 7 August 2023, Anjum Rehbar joined the Indian National Congress in Madhya Pradesh in the presence of Kamal Nath, the president of the INC Madhya Pradesh unit.
Anjum Rehbar released a collection of her poems titled Malmal Kacche Rangon Ki in 2018.
Anjum Rehbar is the recipient of the Indira Gandhi Award (1986), Ram-Rikh Manhar Award, Sahitya Bharti Award, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan Award, Akhil Bhartiya Kavivar Vidyapeeth Award, Dainik Bhaskar Award, Chitransh Fiqar Gorakhpuri Award, and Guna ka Gaurav Award.
- In 2018, during a media talk, Sameer Rahat, son of Anjum Rehbar, while talking about his parents said,
My parents (Rahat Indori and Anjum Rehbar) are arguably the biggest Urdu poets in the country, and you get influenced by them on a daily basis. Writing songs for others is when your waters are tested.”
- In 2023, soon after joining INC in Madhya Pradesh, Anjum Rehbar stated in a media interview that while she was previously focused on writing poetry, she also wanted to serve the society.
