Anjali Merchant

Anjali Merchant is an Indian businesswoman and the daughter of Indian industrialist Viren Merchant. She is also known as the elder sister of Radhika Merchant who is the fiancée of Anant Ambani (youngest son of the Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani).

In 2020, Anjali Merchant tied the knot with Aman Majithia in Goa. Aman Majithia is the founder of ‘Vataly,’ an online retail platform for clothes. The couple was later blessed with a son.

Intern

Anjali worked as an intern at various companies in Mumbai. In May 2006, she joined ‘Publicis,’ an organisation providing strategic, creative, and digital ideas to clients to improve their marketing techniques. She continued till July 2006. From June 2009 to August 2009, she worked as an intern at a science and technology firm in Mumbai ‘Merck.’ In June 2010, Anjali joined ‘K. K. Asher and Co.’ in Mumbai as an intern and worked there for around three months. Anjali Merchant worked as a Marketing Excellence Intern at ‘Bayer,’ a German multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, for nearly five months in the Berlin Area, Germany.

Co-founder

In 2010, Anjali Merchant co-founded ‘Turn The Campus,’ a free online marketplace allowing college-specific students and staff members to buy, sell, and demand all kinds of items and services with their college community, in Boston. Anjali Merchant co-founded another company named ‘Dryfix’ in 2018; Dryfix is a chain of hair styling and hair treatment clubs focused on providing quick specialised services to clients in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Anjali, in an interview, recalled the time when she had this idea for a startup and she, along with one of her roommates (the other founder of the company) started visiting gyms nearby and providing free hairstyling to people there to observe whether the market required their idea or not.
