Anchal Singh began her career in the entertainment industry after getting an offer for a commercial for Dena Bank, and she went on to appear in over 300 commercials for various national and international brands including Asian Paints, Dabur Fem Bleach, Ponds, Garnier, Vivel, Malabar Gold, Jos Alukkas, and Hyundai. Apart from TV commercials, Anchal has also appeared in numerous print advertisements of many renowned companies like Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Amway, and Unilever. In these commercials, she appeared alongside many popular celebrities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, and Hema Malini.

Acting

Anchal Singh made her acting debut with the Srilankan film Sri Siddhartha Gautama in which she played the role of princess Yashodhara. This film was released in nearly 20 countries and was dubbed in numerous languages including Hindi, Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese. Anchal earned acclaims for her performance in the film.

In 2013, she played the role of Ria in Bollywood film Ramiya Vastavaiya. She then appeared in a lead role in the Telegu film Dhilluku Dhuddu (2016) and Punjabi film Zakhmi (2020).

While Anchal Singh was shooting for her Tamil film Dhilluku Dhuddu, she was suggested to change her name to Shanaya. She was fine with that until it caused a misunderstanding. In an interview she said,

It was my first film in Tamil and when the team suggested that I get a name change, I was OK with it. But post that I wasn’t getting the right kind of films, and when I was wondering why I came to know that people got confused as they thought Anchal and Shanaya were two different actresses. I used to get calls asking whether I knew Shanaya as we looked similar.”
