In 2018, Amirhossein was a member of the Persian Gulf Conveyance team that won a gold medal at the Countrywide Beach Olympics. In November 2019, he captained the Iranian team at the Junior World Kabaddi Championship held in Iran. The Iranian team remained undefeated throughout the tournament under his leadership and also went on to lift the trophy after defeating Kenya with a score of 42-22 in the finals. In 2022, he made his debut in the Pro Kabaddi League as a member of the Haryana Steelers team. Amir Hossain Bastami was inducted into the Haryana Steelers team as a right-corner defender for Rs. 65.10 lakhs.
