Adnan Siddiqui was born on Thursday, 23 October 1969 (age 54 years; as of 2023) in Lahore, Pakistan. He later moved to Karachi where he did his schooling at St. Patrick’s High School.

Television

Adana Siddiqui made his television debut with the TV series ‘Aroosa’ (1994), which aired on PTV. He played the role of Shehryar in the show.

In 2003, he played the role of Taha in the TV series ‘Mehndi,’ which aired on PTV. His performance as Aadil in the TV show ‘Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan’ (2010), on Geo Entertainment, received a huge appreciation from the audience. In 2011, he played the role of Faisal in the TV show ‘Maat,’ broadcasted on Hum TV, starring Aamina Sheikh and Saba Qamar.

In 2019, he appeared in the TV series ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho,’ starring Hira Mani. He played the role of Shehwar in the show. He captained the Lahore Falcons team for three seasons of the Ramadan reality television game show ‘Jeeto Pakistan League’ (2020-2021) and also led their victory in season 2 (2021).

In 2022, he hosted season 1 of the TV reality show ‘Tamasha,’ which aired on ARY Digital. The show was based on the format of the popular Dutch reality show ‘Big Brother.’ The following year, he hosted season 2 of the show.

He has acted in numerous television shows including ‘Ghulam Gardish’ (1999) on PTV, ‘Manzil’ (2006) on ARY Digital, ‘Meray Qatil Meray Dildar’ (2011) on Hum TV, ‘Mere Humdum Mere Dost’ (2014) on Urdu 1, ‘Sammi’ (2017) on Hum TV, ‘Ghughi’ (2018) on TVOne Pakistan, and ‘Yeh Dil Mera’ (2020) on Hum TV.

He made his debut in Lollywood in 2017 with the Urdu film ‘Yalghaar’ in which he played the role of Col. Imran.

In 2022, he appeared in a cameo role in the film ‘Dum Mastam.’ He also made his debut as a producer with the film. In the same year, he played the role of Ali Khan in the film ‘Carma – The Movie.’

Bollywood

In 2017, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Mom,’ starring Sridevi and Sajal Aly. He played the role of Anand Sabarwal in the film.

Hollywood

In 2007, he acted alongside Angelina Jolie and Irrfan Khan in the American film ‘A Mighty Heart.’ He played the supporting role of Dost Aliani in the film.

In 2016, he produced the Pakistani television drama ‘Seeta Bagri,’ under his production banner, Cereal Productions. • After the Partition of India in 1947, his family moved to Lahore from Uttar Pradesh.

• His mother died when he was 14 years old after which he was raised by his father and grandmother.

• In an interview, he revealed that he grew up with very strict rules and discipline. He said that his father had specific rules for everything, even at dinner he couldn’t pick the food he wanted to eat at the dinner table. His father’s rule was that everyone had to eat whatever was served without choosing.

• He started working in the entertainment industry in 1992 as a model and has worked for various famous brands and also walked various fashion runways.

• Before establishing himself as a successful actor, he did a job at a Bank.

• In April 2023, he criticized Priyanka Chopra for her comment regarding Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. Priyanka Chopra addressed Chinoy as a ‘South Asian’ while expressing appreciation for Chinoy’s achievement as the first woman from the region to direct a Star Wars film. Siddiqui took to Twitter to contend that Priyanka Chopra should have addressed Chinoy as Pakistani instead of using the term ‘South Asian.’

• In an interview, while talking about working in Bollywood and cultural exchange between India and Pakistan, he said that he found Indians to be less tolerant than Pakistanis. He said,

• In an interview, he revealed that he rejected the offer of Bollywood films ‘Mardaani’ (2014) and ‘Jism 2’ (2012) because he didn’t find the roles appealing for his career. While talking about this in the interview, he said,
  

  I got a call from Yash Raj Films (YRF) for a role in ‘Mardaani’. They wanted me to audition for a role of a villain (and) I found the part interesting. But then they (YRF) called up saying they have got a young villain and wanted me to play a police officer. I was not keen on playing this role. (Filmmaker) Mahesh Bhatt had asked me to do a role in ‘Jism 2’ (and) that again I guess was of a police officer.”
