Adnan Siddiqui

Adnan Siddiqui is a Pakistani actor and producer. He is known for his work in Pakistani films and television dramas. He hosted season 1 and season 2 of the television reality show ‘Tamasha,’ which aired on ARY Digital.

Adnan Siddiqui was born on Thursday, 23 October 1969 (age 54 years; as of 2023) in Lahore, Pakistan. He later moved to Karachi where he did his schooling at St. Patrick’s High School.

Adana Siddiqui made his television debut with the TV series ‘Aroosa’ (1994), which aired on PTV. He played the role of Shehryar in the show.

In 2003, he played the role of Taha in the TV series ‘Mehndi,’ which aired on PTV. His performance as Aadil in the TV show ‘Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan’ (2010), on Geo Entertainment, received a huge appreciation from the audience. In 2011, he played the role of Faisal in the TV show ‘Maat,’ broadcasted on Hum TV, starring Aamina Sheikh and Saba Qamar.

In 2019, he appeared in the TV series ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho,’ starring Hira Mani. He played the role of Shehwar in the show. He captained the Lahore Falcons team for three seasons of the Ramadan reality television game show ‘Jeeto Pakistan League’ (2020-2021) and also led their victory in season 2 (2021).

  • His mother died when he was 14 years old after which he was raised by his father and grandmother.
  • In an interview, he revealed that he grew up with very strict rules and discipline. He said that his father had specific rules for everything, even at dinner he couldn’t pick the food he wanted to eat at the dinner table. His father’s rule was that everyone had to eat whatever was served without choosing.
  • He started working in the entertainment industry in 1992 as a model and has worked for various famous brands and also walked various fashion runways.

  • In April 2023, he criticized Priyanka Chopra for her comment regarding Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. Priyanka Chopra addressed Chinoy as a ‘South Asian’ while expressing appreciation for Chinoy’s achievement as the first woman from the region to direct a Star Wars film. Siddiqui took to Twitter to contend that Priyanka Chopra should have addressed Chinoy as Pakistani instead of using the term ‘South Asian.’

    I got a call from Yash Raj Films (YRF) for a role in ‘Mardaani’. They wanted me to audition for a role of a villain (and) I found the part interesting. But then they (YRF) called up saying they have got a young villain and wanted me to play a police officer. I was not keen on playing this role. (Filmmaker) Mahesh Bhatt had asked me to do a role in ‘Jism 2’ (and) that again I guess was of a police officer.”
