In an interview, Adil shared details about his complex relationship with Rakhi Sawant, whom he met through a friend. He claimed that Rakhi misled him about her marital status right from the start. When they were dating, he asked her about her relationship with Ritesh Singh, and she insisted she was single; however, in February 2022, Rakhi announced that she was seeking a divorce from Ritesh. Adil went on to reveal that he and Rakhi initially had a secret marriage, which was followed by a legal ceremony in 2022, but their relationship later started facing some issues. He mentioned that he found voice notes on Rakhi’s phone that she had sent to Ritesh after attending an event in the UK. According to Adil, the voice notes suggested that Rakhi spent a week with Ritesh, who was also financially supporting her, in the UK. Adil further presented a video, in the interview, in which he could be seen showing scratches on his body, alleging that Rakhi physically abused him. Controversies
Case filed by Rakhi Sawant
On 6 February 2023, Rakhi Sawant, Adil’s wife, filed an FIR against him at the Oshiwara police station, accusing him of mishandling her funds while she was inside the house of Bigg Boss Marathi. She also alleged that Durrani failed to look after her ailing mother Jaya Sawant, who died on January 29 after a long battle with cancer. Holding him responsible for her mother’s demise Rakhi revealed in an interview that Adil did not pay money timely for her mother’s surgery. She even accused Adil of having an extramarital affair with a girl named Tanu Chandel. Following her FIR, Adil was arrested by the Oshiwara Police. Later, some sources revealed that Adil was not arrested and was called up by the Oshiwara Police for interrogation. Afterwards, the duo were spotted at an eating joint in Mumbai, feeding each other. Iranian student rape case
On 13 February 2023, an Iranian student filed an FIR against Adil Durrani at the VV Puram police station of Mysuru, accusing him of raping her. She also accused him of cheating, threatening, and blackmailing her. According to the victim, Adil raped her after promising to marry her. The police booked him under IPC Sections 406, 420 498 (A), and 377.
