Neelkamal Singh started his first Bhojpuri song ‘Mausi Ke Chumma Le Papa’ in 2003. In 2015, he worked as an actor and singer for the music album ‘PK Sut Jata,’ released by the Wave Company. He sang the audio song ‘Madaiya Me Maza Lela’ in 2017. He received immense appreciation from the audience for his sad song ‘Barbad Jindagi’ (2018).

In 2021, Bhojpui actress Akshara Singh filed a case against Neelkamal Singh in Kankarbagh Police Station, Patna. The actress alleged that Singh had made some vulgar remarks about her relationship with actor Pawan Singh in one of his songs. She also responded against them on her social media handles.
