Varinder Singh Ghuman started his career by participating in the Mr. India contest in 2009, which he won. In the same year, he bagged second position in the Mr. Asia contest.
In 2009, Varinder Singh Ghuman won the Mr. India contest and finished second at Mr. Asia. In 2011, Varinder bagged the International Federation of Body Building and Fitness (IFBB) pro card by winning the Amateur Australia and competing in the Australian Grand Prix. In an interview, Ghuman talked about his visit to Spain where he met Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He further shared his excitement when Arnold promoted Ghuman’s Bollywood film on his social media. He said,
It was during a visit to Spain for a competition for the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Championship that I got to meet the star. I was a top ranker at the event and Arnold was enthralled to see my body and that I was the tallest bodybuilder from India. I feel proud for getting noticed by such a big Hollywood actor. Varinder Singh Ghuman made his debut with the Punjabi film ‘Kabaddi Once Again’ (2012) in which he played the role of ‘Shingara Singh.’
