Sunil Holkar

Sunil Holkar (1982-2023) was an Indian actor known for his comic role in the Marathi and Hindi film industries. He has made short appearances in various popular shows such as ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and ‘Maddam Sir.’ The actor left this world at the age of 40 on 13 January 2023 due to a liver ailment.

Sunil Holkar was born in 1982 (age 40 years; at the time of death). He grew up in Dahisar, a town in Maharashtra. He attended the Shailendra Education Society in Dahisar East, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Sunil Holkar had worked in the television and film industry for almost 12 years. He has made a short appearance in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’

He also appeared in TV shows like ‘Barrister Babu’ (2020), ‘Maddam Sir’ (2020) and ‘Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey’ (2021). Apart from television shows, the actor also appeared in supporting roles in various Marathi films including ‘Sagla Karun Bhagle’ (2011), ‘Lau Ka Laath’ (2012), and ‘Mandali Tumchyasathi Kay Pan’ (2013). In 2022, he last appeared in the National Award-winning Marathi film “Goshta Eka Paithanichi” in which he played the role of Ashok.

Death

Sunil Holkar died on 13 January 2023, after suffering from liver cirrhosis for which he had been undergoing treatment. Before his death, Holkar realised his deteriorating health and asked one of his close friends to share a ‘last post’ on WhatsApp on his behalf. In his last post, Holkar said goodbye to everyone and also apologize for the mistakes he had made.
