Sara Desai grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada. Before turning a full-time author, she did various jobs- as a lawyer, a radio DJ, a marathon runner, a historian, a bouncer, and a librarian. Presently, she resides in Vancouver Island with her husband and kids. She wrote her first story when she was in grade 3 for a public library competition that was held annually in her childhood town in North Ontario.
