As the CEO of SBIPL, Sanjiv Mehta has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a local niche player to an international trading organization in the steel industry.

Sanjiv Mehta was born to Pravin P. Mehta on 14th December 1963 in Mumbai, India. He graduated in B.Com from H.R. College, Churchgate, Mumbai. He has been instrumental in leading the company SBIPL from a revenue of Rs. 50 Crore p.a. to Rs. 1200 Crore as a group at peak.
Career
After graduating from Mumbai, Sanjiv Mehta joined family business then namely M/s. Shah Brothers, a partnership firm between two different families, Shah and Mehta. Besides being the CEO of the successful SBIPL, Sanjiv Mehta has also worked towards enhancement of the steel industry in India. 2 years ago, he along with his peers established SUFI— a common platform that caters to national issues, which will guide the creation and operation of steel futures for the first time even on BSE.
