Television

In 2016, Sagar Parekh made his television debut with an episodic role in the crime thriller TV series Gumraah – End of Innocence. After Gumraah, he appeared as a lead role in the TV series Aye Zindagi on the Zing channel. He appeared in two episodes of the show.

Later, in the same year, he appeared in an episode of a thriller series, Fear Files. Sagar has appeared in many television shows including Internet Wala Love (2018-2019), Babbar Ka Tabbar (2018), Balika Vadhu 2 (2021), Rajaa Betaa (2019), and Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan (2022).

In 2021, he appeared in the television show Tera Yaar Hoon Main (2021) as Lakshya on SAB TV. In the same year, he also appeared as Madhav in Balika Vadhu season 2.

In July 2022, Sagar Parekh replaced Paras Kalnawat in the television serial Anupama when he started playing the role of Samar Shah on the show. In December 2023, he left the show after his character Sahamar Shah was killed off in the serial. In an interview, Sagar revealed that before he joined the cast of Anupama, he was not informed about it. He said,

It feels like a dream. I never thought that I would be a part of Anupamaa. When I was offered the role, I had no clue I was doing Anupamaa and that I was doing a replacement role. Had I known, I would have disagreed to take up the show out of insecurity or maybe people wouldn’t accept me. But I am glad that happened and they didn’t tell me earlier.” ^[1]The Times of India

In December 2023, Sagar Parekh announced through his Instagram account that he would appear in season 11 of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2023).

• In an interview, Sagar talked about how he started his acting career and revealed that it was because of his mother that he pursued acting. He said,
  

  My mother motivated me to pursue this art form. It was her dream that I decided to fulfil. There was an ad on Facebook that was about the requirement of a young actor for Gumrah. My mother sent my pictures to the casting director without much hope. But within 5-10 minutes she got a call. Initially she thought someone was playing a prank but then the makers told her that I am being finalised for the role and they are going to pay us a decent amount. So we decided to give it a try. My dad was supportive too and ready to take the risk of sending me to Mumbai. This experience changed my life. I really enjoyed working on the show.”
