Sukanya Kulkarni was born in a Hindu Marathi family. She is married to the Marathi actor, Sanjay Mone. The couple is blessed with a daughter, Julia Mone.

Career

She started her career as a theatre artist. She debuted in the 1989 Hindi film, ‘Eeshwar;’ starring Anil Kapoor and Vijayshanti. Some of her other Bollywood films are ‘Jigar’ (1992), ‘Parwane’ (1993), ‘Putravati’ (1996), ‘Sarfarosh’ (1999), and ‘Rakhta Charitra’ (2010).

She debuted in Marathi films with the film ‘Varsa Laxmicha’ in 1994. Later, she appeared in many more Marathi films, including ‘Sarkarnama’ (1998), ‘Aai Thor Tuze Upkar’ (1999), ‘Ventilator’ (2016), and ‘Bole India Jai Bhim’ (2017). Her debut Hindi TV serial is ‘Lifeline’ (1991) in which she played the character of a rape victim. Later, she appeared in many popular Hindi TV serials, like ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ (1993), ‘Shanti- Ek Aurat Ki Kahani’ (1994), and ‘Rang Badalti Odhani’ (2010).

She has acted in various Marathi TV serials, like ‘Abhalmaya’ (2012), ‘Julun Yeti Reshimgaathi’ (2013), and ‘Chuk Bhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ (2017).
