He did his schooling at Milagres High School, Mangalore and passed out from there in 1994. He later pursued graduation at St Aloysius College, Mangaluru which he completed in 1997.Β He liked acting from his childhood days and acted in plays and dramas while studying in school and college. After completing his formal education, he moved to Bangalore (also known as Bengaluru) to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He also did many jobs in the corporate sector before becoming a full-time actor.

Corporate Jobs

While doing small acting roles in TV serials, he also did many corporate jobs to support himself. He worked as an associate at Aditya Birla Group in Bangalore from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a technical consultant at Dell in Bangalore. He moved to Dubai in 2010 and worked as a customer service agent there at Emirates Airlines till 2014. He returned to India later and started auditioning for films.

Raj Deepak Shetty started his acting career by acting in TV serials. His debut TV serial was Kadambari in 2005 which aired on Udaya TV. He later appeared in many TV serials such as Preethi Illada Mele in 2005 on ETV Kannada, Bande Baratava Kala in 2006 on ETV Kannada, and Love Lavike in 2015 on Zee Kannada.

He later acted in many Telugu films such as Narappa in 2021 as Doraswamy and Virata Parvam in 2022 as a landlord. In 2024, he gained popularity for his role as Village Chief Gajapathi in the superhero film Hanu Man which is based on the Hindu God, Lord Hanuman; the film belonged to Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) and starred Teja Sajja and Amritha Aiyer in the lead roles.

In 2019, he acted in his debut Telugu web series titled Gods of Dharmapuri (also known as G.O.D) as Prathap Reddy which streamed on ZEE5 and featured Sruthy Jayan and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandhari as well.
