Career

Roopesh started his career as an RJ at 92.7 Big FM in Mangalore.

He then worked as a video jockey for the TV channel Namma TV. He has also worked as a host of the TV dance reality show ‘Dance Mummy Dance.’ While he was hosting one of his TV shows, he met a film director, who was invited as a guest at the show. The film director offered him a lead role in the Kannada film ‘Danger Zone’ (2016).

He then appeared in a few more Kannada films including ‘Nishabda 2’ (2017), ‘Anushka’ (2019), and ‘Govinda Govinda’ (2021).

In 2017, he made his Konkani debut with the film ‘Ashem Zalem Kashem’ as a lead actor.

In the same year, he made his Tulu debut with the Tulu short film ‘Porlu’ (2016). Some of his other Tulu films are ‘Rang Rangda Dibbana’ (2017), ‘Ammer Polisa’ (2018), ‘Girgit’ (2019), and ‘Gamjaal’ (2021).

In 2018, he sang the Kannada song ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ for the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore. Roopesh participated in the 2022 Kannada reality show ‘Bigg Boss Kannada OTT.’ He finished as the winner of the show.
