Backlash Over Makeup

In 2020, Nimisha faced criticism for wearing makeup in a photoshoot as she had previously said, in an interview, that she does not prefer wearing makeup. Tax Evasion Allegations

On 10 November 2022, BJP leader Sandeep G. Varier alleged that Nimitha had evaded taxes amounting to about Rs. 20.65 lakh. According to Varier, Nimisha had a hidden income of Rs. 1.14 crore, and the state GST intelligence department summoned her. Nimisha’s mother, however, later denied the accusations and said that Nimisha had not initially registered for GST, and when the tax became due, she applied for it in 2020-21 and resolved the matter.
