In 2015, Sai Priyanka made her television debut with the Sun TV show Keladi Kanmani in which she played the role of Priyanka.

In 2016, she appeared as a participant in the Tamil reality show Dance Jodi Jance; she was the third runner-up in the show. In 2017, she appeared in the Tamil-language television show Poove Poochudava in which she played the role of Nithya. In 2018, she worked in the Tamil television show Kalyanamam Kalyanam in which she played the role of Sandhya.

Film

In 2013, Sai Priyanka made her acting debut with the Tamil film Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara in which she played the supporting role of Renu’s friend. In 2014, he appeared in the Tamil film Aadama Jaichomada in which she played the role of a receptionist. In 2016, she appeared in the Tamil film Metro, wherein she played the role of Mathi’s girlfriend. Subsequently, she appeared in many Tamil-language films like Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal (2017), Gangs of Madras (2019), In the Name of God (2021), and Iravin Nizhal (2022). In an interview, Sai Priyanka talked about her film Gang of Madras and said she was selected among 150 people in the auditions. Priyanka said,

I never knew CV Kumar sir would zero in on me. There were about 150 people and I made it to the final round. It is not that I had everything on the platter. I have been struggling to get good roles in cinema for a long time. After being an observer in the industry, I have learned that the audience wants to be surprised. Even if you do a scene in a film that works, they will Google you.”

• Sai Priyanka Ruth’s real name is Sai Priyanka. Later, she adopted the last name ‘Ruth’ which is also her nickname. According to Ruth, she changed her name because there were already too many Priyankas in the entertainment industry. In an interview, she talked about this and said,
  

  I am the original Tamil girl. Coimbatore. There are many Priyankas in Tamil cinema, so I also included Ruth, who calls me by her nickname at home. The ‘Gangs of Madras’ film opportunity did not come easily to me. A lot of girls came to the audition for that film. I was one of the selected girls. Then I was selected because I managed to escape every level in the fighting training given by Kharchiya.”
