Career
Ajay Kumar Kathurvar started his acting career in 2018 with Puri Jagannadh written and directed Telugu-language romantic drama action film ‘Mehbooba.’ He was featured along side actors Akash Puri and Neha Shetty in this film. Next, he appeared in murder mystery ‘Raagala 24 Gantallo.’ The Srinivasa Reddy directed film was based on Agatha Christie’s play ‘The Unexpected Guest.’ Ajay got the opportunity to share screen with actors Eesha Rebba, Satyadev Kancharana, Sriram, Ganesh Venkatram and Musskan Sethi.
The actor appeared in a the Telugu film ‘Alanti Sitralu’ in 2021. He played the role of a character named Yash, a boxer who came to a big city to excel in the sport but lacks because of his personal traits. The C. Supreeth Krishna directed drama film showing the life of four individuals with different life goals who meet each others by chance and their life changed for ever. was released theatrically on 21 September 2021. According to the reports, the film did not performed well on the box-office and the critics also did not appreciate the storyline of the film but the acting skills of the actors received recognition from the critics. One of the media critics reviewing the film said,
Anthologies are usually a delight to watch and Alanati Sitralu is one such attempt. However, the film fails at delivering engaging stories or narrating them in a gripping manner.”
Next in 2021, the actor was announced to be a part of Sunny Komalapati’s thriller ‘Mistake.’ Ajay Kathurvar featured along with Abhinav Sardar, Ajay Kathurvar, Taniya kalrra, Karishma Kumar, Sujith Kumar, Teja Ainampudi, and Priya in lead role. Abhinav Sardar announced ‘Mistake’ to be the second production by ASP Media. The film was constructed on a very large scale with a great amount of production cost. To entice the audience of coming of age, the love component is interwoven with the adventure theme. The film treats the audience with suspense, adventure, thrilling, action, and other commercial aspects. Actor and MAA President Vishnu Manchu launched the first look poster. Ajay Kumar Kathurvar appeared in the Bigg Boss Telugu digital series, Bigg Boss Non-Stop, in 2022. Nagarjuna Akkineni hosted the show. Akhil Sarthak, Mumaith Khan, Mahesh Vitta, Ashu Reddy, Ariyana Glory, Bindu Madhavi, Tejaswi Madivada, Sarayu, and a few others were also in the show. In the OTT version, Ajay has gone from nobody to one of the season’s strongest candidates. His stay at the mansion has been filled with surprises. He’d become friends with Akhil, Sravanthi, Ashu Reddy, and Nataraj, and Mumait Khan had spoken openly about her emotions for Ajay. He went on a romantic date with Mumait on the show, which he described as his first romantic date. On 25 April 2022, he was eliminated from the show.

Mumait Khan, Ajay’s cocontestant in the Bigg Boss house,after getting evicted from the show share a picture of hers having a red rose and heart sticker over the photo frame of Ajay Kathurvar on his Instagram account. Mumait Khan expressed her happiness at her brief stay in the residence in a heartfelt note. She also thanked the crew and praised her ‘favourite’ individuals, Ajay and Akhil Sarthak. Mumait also stated that if given the opportunity, she would return to the residence.
Apart from being an actor, Ajay Kumar is also a film producer. He launched his production house named ‘Padmaarjuna’ on 25 October 2022. He took to Instagram to announce about his production house for which he posted a video which captioned,
