Ishwar Thakur was born in Shimla. He was brought up in the Western Command cantonment near the small town of Panchkula, Haryana. After his schooling, he went on to pursue a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. Later, he started writing and performing theatrical plays with his college’s dramatics society “Dramebaaz” and later joined a local theatre group.

Ishwar began his career in 2015 as an assistant director for a group of filmmakers in Gurdaspur, Punjab who required someone fluent in Punjabi and English. Since then, he has worked with notable directors such as Goran Paskaljevic, Rahul Dholakia, Rajesh Mapuskar, Zoya Akhtar, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Alankrita Srivastava, and Neeraj Ghyawan. Ishwar began to work in television comedy shows including “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain” (2015) in which he played the role of ‘Anurag,’

 

followed by the show “F.R.I.” (2006) in which he played the role of ‘Golu.’ He has worked in comedy serials like Jija Ji Chhat Par Hain (2018), and May I Come In Madam? (2016).

Ishwar Thakur in financial crises

Ishwar Thakur is facing severe financial difficulties. The actor has a serious kidney condition. He claimed that because he cannot afford diapers, he uses newspapers as he is unable to control his urine. In addition, his mother is confined to a bed and his sibling has schizophrenia. Ishwar claimed he wanted to work so he could support himself, his mother, and his brother. In an interview, he talked about his condition and said,

I am very critical. Death seems better than this life now. But I cannot leave my mother and brother in this condition alone, so I continue to fight.” [1]Hindustan Times
