Film

After completing her graduation, Amritha Aiyer started working as a model and actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She appeared in minor roles in various movies like Lingaa (2014), Tenaliraman (2014), Pokkiri Raja (2016), and Theri (2016).

Amritha Aiyer made her acting debut as a lead actress in the Tamil film Padaiveeran alongside Vijay Yesudas in 2018, playing the role of ‘Malar’. A critic from ‘The Hindu’ praised her performance in the film. The same year, she appeared as Thenmozhi opposite Vijay Antony in the Tamil film Kaali.

In 2019, she was supposed to debut in the Kannada movie ‘Gramayana,’ which starred Vinay Rajkumar, but the project was halted due to the producer contracting COVID-19. The same year, Amritha Aiyer played the role of Thendral, the captain of the Tamil Nadu football team, in the Tamil movie Bigil, directed by Atlee.

In 2021, she made her Telugu debut as Gayathri with the film Red.

In 2021, she played the character of Thulasi in the film ‘Vanakkam Da Mappilei’ alongside G. V. Prakash Kumar. In the same year, she appeared as Harini in the horror Tamil film Lift, which received mixed to highly positive reviews from critics.

Amritha Aiyer then played the character of Sravani in the Telugu film Arjuna Phalguna opposite Sree Vishnu. In 2022, Amritha Aiyer acted as Abi in the Tamil movie Coffee with Kadhal alongside Jai. The film reportedly received negative reviews and did not perform well at the box office.

It was announced in December 2022 that Amritha Aiyer would appear in the Telugu film Hanu-Man alongside Teja Sajja in 2024.
