Park Sung-hoon, also known as Park Seong-hoon [1]Ize, was born on Monday, 18 February 1985 (age 38 years; as of 2023) in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He attended Gwacheon Foreign Language High School in Gwacheon. He developed an interest in acting when he was in his third year of high school. He majored in acting and film at the Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts in South Korea. Career

Pre-debut

After he completed his graduation, he began to work at various theatre and entertainment companies. He worked at a theatre company for eight to nine months, where he liked working on the stage; however, he found it frustrating due to late-night part-time work and sleeping at the theatre. In 2009, he started working part-time at a concert hall. He made announcements and sold merchandise at the ‘Pump Boyz’ show and later, at the ‘Hedwig’ show. Film

In 2008, he made his acting debut on the silver screen with the South Korean historical thriller film ‘A Frozen Flower’ in which he played the cameo role of a royal guard.

He was cast in a lead role in the 2019 South Korean historical drama film ‘Forbidden Dream,’ based on a true story, in which he portrayed the character of Lee Hyang.

He made his TV debut in a minor role as Lee Seul-woo’s friend in the 2011 South Korean TV series ‘Bachelor’s Vegetable Store,’ which aired on Channel A.

He played his first lead role as Jang Go-rae in KBS2’s 2018 South Korean TV series titled ‘My Only One.’ Some of the South Korean TV series in which he is known for playing supporting roles include ‘Three Days’ (2014) aired on SBS, ‘Six Flying Dragons’ (2015) on SBS, and ‘Don’t Dare to Dream’ (2016) on SBS.

In 2011, he played the role of Motley Chan in his first theatrical production titled ‘Inside the Minke Whale.’ He has acted in numerous theatrical productions including ‘Almost, Maine’ (2013), ‘Two Weddings and a Funeral’ (2014), ‘Judo Boy’ (2015), and ‘University of Laughs’ (2015).

In 2021, he appeared in a cameo role as Secret Garden Parody in episode 8 of Viki’s drama series ‘Dramaworld’ season 2.

In 2022, he regained attention after playing the role of Jeon Jae-joo, a colour-blind successor of a country club, in Netflix’s popular South Korean web series ‘The Glory’ starring actress Song Hye-kyo.
