Palash Sen is an Indian singer, songwriter, musician, music composer, physician, director, and actor. In 1998, he started the Indian pop-rock band Euphoria as a lead vocalist and guitarist.

His father, Dr Rupendra Kr Sen (deceased), was a physician at Northern Railway Central Hospital. His mother, Dr Pushpa Sen, was a physician too. His younger sister, Dahlia Sen Oberoi, is an Indian classical dancer, poet, songwriter, scriptwriter, university lecturer, and intellectual property rights lawyer.
Wife & Children
While he was studying at Hansraj College, he met his collegemate Shalini, who works as an Associate Professor (Department of Biochemistry). Soon, they became friends, and later, started dating each other. On 9 November 1990, the couple got married.
At that time, they both were pursuing their higher education. They have a son, Kinshuk Sen, a theatre artist and actor. Their daughter’s name is Kyna Sen.

Music Band
In 1998, while he was in college, he started a music band ‘Euphoria.’ Initially, he used to compose only English songs. His first composition for the band was ‘Heaven on the Seventh Floor’ which he dedicated to his college hostel room. He then met the Indian DJ named Bhaduri, and the duo worked on various Hindi songs for the band.
In 1998, Euphoria released its first Hindi single “Dhoom Pichuk Dhoom” from the album ‘Dhoom’ which became an instant hit.
A few other Hindi music albums released by the band are ‘Phir Dhoom’ (2000), ‘Gully’ (2003), ‘Mehfuz’ (2006), ‘Sharnaagat’ (2012), and ‘Sale’ (2021).
Euphoria has released various Hindi single tracks like ‘Mantra’ (2001), ‘Halla Bol’ (2017), ‘Alvida’ (2018).
Some of the popular Hindi songs of the band are “Sha Na Na” (1998), “Maeri” (2000), “Ab Naa Jaa,” and “Aana Meri Gully” (2003).”
Euphoria has collaborated with various singers and music bands for the Hindi songs like ‘Jeet Lo Dil’ featuring Strings (2004), ‘Saajna’ featuring Akriti Kakar (2018), ‘Saajna’ featuring Dino James (2021), and ‘Baavra’ featuring Kyna Sen (2021).

Controversies
Criticised for Sexist Comments
In 2013, Palsh was invited to perform at IIT Bombay at an event. However, after the event, a student named Arpita Phukan Biswas wrote a blog criticising Palash for making sexist comments during his show. She wrote that he said that girls were beautiful creatures of god while men were more intelligent. However, when Palash was asked about the same, he said that the girl interpreted everything wrong. He even said that he would never perform in the campus again until the authorities of IIT Bombay apologise to him. [9]Hindustan Times
Accused of Plagiarism
In 2017, the Indian filmmaker Bhargav Saikia sent a legal notice to Palash for copying the scenes in the short Hindi film titled Jiya Jaye from Saikia’s film ‘Kaafiron Ki Namaaz.’ However, Palash said that he was not aware of it and would not do anything unethical. [10]The Indian Express
