I met Nick at a friend’s party in Dubai last year. I only spoke about my son, and he was talking about his two daughters, 13-year-old Aariyana and eight-year-old Aanika. Razorfish

After graduating from Middlesex University London, United Kingdom, Nikhil moved to Frankfurt, Germany, where he joined ‘Razorfish,’  a digital agency, and worked as a Mobile Technology Consultant for almost a year. He worked on projects for multinational companies including ‘Siemens,’ an automation company, ‘Deutsche Bank,’ an investment banking company, and ‘Audi,’ an automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles, and researched how they would benefit by integrating mobile technologies within their current user interfaces.

Capari Group Inc.

In 2001, Nikhil Patel moved to the United States of America and joined Capari Group Inc., an Italian company that deals in the beverage industry, in New York. He worked as the Director of Strategy and Development and was later promoted to the designation of Managing Partner. He was engaged in advising and negotiating deals with renowned hospitality groups including IHG, Choice Hotels International, Inc., and Best Western. Nikhil Patel worked with Capari Group for almost seven years during which he travelled approximately 5-10 days domestically monthly.

Gensource RX LLC

In 2009, Nikhil joined ‘Gensource RX LLC,’ a pharmaceutical company, and worked as the Director of Business Development. He was in charge of management accounts, strategic partnerships, and large account negotiations with C-level executives and stakeholders. He worked with the company for nearly 2 years.

mi-Fone

In 2011, he moved to Johannesburg, Africa, where he joined ‘mi-Fone,’ the first African mobile devices brand, and worked as the Chief Operating Officer for three years. In May 2015, he was promoted to the designation of Managing Director in the company and was instructed by the board of directors to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya to set up a new African headquarter and expand operations and strategic direction throughout more than 20 countries in the east, central and SADC regions of Africa. Nikhil served as the Managing Director of the company for almost a year.

Oju Africa

In 2012, Nikhil co- founded ‘Oju Africa,’ the world’s first Afro emoticons that received worldwide acclaim from the tech and media world after launching on the Google App store.  He joined the company in Johannesburg Area, South Africa in October 2012 and worked till May 2015.

iROKO Partners

Nikhil later moved to China, where he learned about the mobile phone’s eco-system and manufacturing system after which he moved to Mauritius in 2013. In September 2016, he joined ‘iROKO Partners,’ one of the world’s largest African entertainment companies, as the Chief Commercial Officer in London, United Kingdom. He worked for the company till August 2019.

Watu

In September 2019, Nikhil joined ‘Watu,’ a financial institution in Mombasa, Kenya, as the Chief Growth Officer.

He mentioned that on 1 January 2019, he weighed 175lbs (79kg) at over 35% body fat and was pre-diabetic and had high cholesterol. Nikhil added that he decided to become fit before a shoot, which was supposed to be done in August 2019; the date of the shoot was later pushed to October 2019. He picked Adam Hayley, a fitness trainer, and worked hard on his fitness. When the day of the shoot arrived, Nikhil, along with his trainer Adam Hayley, took the 8 am train to London on a cold and rainy morning and completed the shoot with a photographer named Craig Williams.
