After completing her schooling, she studied MRes in Translational Medicine at Imperial College, London. Under the Fulbright Scholarship, she did research in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University. Niharica made her acting debut with the Bengali-language film Damadol (2013) in which she played the role of a ‘dancer.’ In 2014, she appeared as ‘Priya’ in the film ‘6-5=2.’ Her role as ‘Savitri’ in the film ‘Waarrior Savitri’ (2016) received immense love from the audience.
