  • When Navneet was in school, he started playing lawn bowl after Pinki Singh, who won a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and is a physical education teacher at Navneet’s school, guided him to play the game. In an interview, Navneet said that as a child, he was interested in cricket, but later, because of Pinki, he started playing lawn bowling. In an interview Pinki talked about Navneet and said ,

    It is great that both of us. We are from the same school and could win a medal each.”

  • In an interview, Navneet said that he left an entrance exam of Air India to participate in Commonwealth Games 2022. He further said that he did not regret missing the exam because his team won a silver medal. He further added,

    I recently got my commercial pilot license and I have an exam with Air India tomorrow but I can’t reach there. Now that we finally have a medal, it is okay.”

  • Later, Air India announced that Navneet could attend the entrance exam in September. In a Twitter post, Air India wrote,

    Congratulations Navneet on winning Silver at the #CWG2022. We are happy to inform that you can appear for the exam next month and a communication on this has already been sent to you. Best wishes & keep our Flag flying high.”
