Kabaddi Player
In 2019, Visvanth took part in the 46th Junior National Kabaddi Championship which was held in Rohtak, Haryana. He represented the Tamil Nadu state kabaddi team. In the same year, he represented his state Tamil Nadu in the Khelo India Youth Games and won the silver medal in the tournament finals after losing to the Chandigarh team who won the gold medal.
In 2022, Visvanth participated and represented the Tamil Nadu state kabaddi team in the 36th National Games which were held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In the same year, he was selected and picked by the Chennai-based Kabaddi team ‘Tamil Thalaivas’ for season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League as an all-rounder. Visvanth was bought for Rs. 12.80 lakhs.
In the following year, Visvanth was selected by the Mumbai-based kabaddi team ‘U Mumba’ and he was bought for Rs. 13 lakhs to play in season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League (2023). He played a total of 11 matches in which he has an overall raid strike rate of 44% and a tackle strike rate of 53%.
In the same year, he represented the Tamil Nadu-based team ‘Palani Tuskers’ in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition 2023 which was held in Mysore. Visvanth held a raid strike rate of 36.84% and a tackle success rate of 43.10% in the tournament. The team won the tournament finals with a cash prize of Rs. 20 lakhs.

- Visvanth V’s first introduction to Kabaddi was when he was in ninth standard and one day he attended a local kabaddi camp which was organized by the Arjun Award holder kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. That’s when he got interested in the sport and chose to pick it as his profession.
- Kabaddi is a family game for Visvanth as the sport is considered a family tradition in his house.
- Visvanth started his professional kabaddi training at the Sports Authority of India centre situated in Chennai, and he also represented the team in state-level competitions.
