Kundara Johny made his acting debut with the 1979 Malayalam film “Nithya Vasantham” when he was 23 years old. In the film, he portrayed a character who was 55 years old. In the same year, he appeared in the Malayalam film Kazhukan, and in 1980, he acted in the film Karimpana. He continued to appear in many Malayalam films such as Angachamayam (1982), Veendum Chalikkunna Chakram (1984), and Kireedom (1985). In addition to his villainous roles, he also acted in many other films such as Samooham (1993), Saivar Thirumeni (2001), Roudram (2008), Konthayum Poonoolum (2014), and Popcorn (2016). His last film was Meppadiyan (2022) in which he played the role of Jacob.
