Film
In 2008, she made her Bollywood debut with the Bollywood film titled Apartment: Rent at Your Own Risk (2010), which was directed by Jag Mundhra. In this film, Hetal shared the screen with actors Rohit Roy, Anupam Kher, Tanushree Dutta, and Neetu Chandra.
Television
In 1995, she made her television debut with Indian thriller series titled Aahat. She appeared in episodic roles in the Indian family sitcom titled Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasma (2008) on Sony SAB. In 2016, she played the role of Pavitra Singh in the series ‘Balika Vadhu – Lamhe Pyaar Ke’ in which she played the role of Pavitra Singh. She continued to appear in Hindi-language TV serials including Uttaran (2008), Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi (2014), Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji (2017), and Imlie (2020). In the show ‘Imlie’ (2020), Hetal played the role of Shivani Rana.

- Apart from acting, Hetal has a keen interest in dancing and she has choreographed a few dances for Hindi TV serials such as ‘Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev’ (2011). In an interview, while talking about her passion, she revealed that initially, she worked as a choreographer; however, she could not pursue it due to her lack of experience.
- On 5 December 2022, while on the way to home, Hetal’s car met with an accident around 8:45 pm. [2]Amar Ujala In an interview, while talking about her experience, Hetal said,
I packed up around 8:45 p.m. last night and left from film city to reach home. As soon as I reached the JVLR highway, a truck rammed into my car and there was friction as the truck pushed my car toward the edge of the flyover to an extent that my car would have fallen off. Later on, I somehow mustered courage and stopped the car in front of the truck, and called up my son. I asked him to inform the police as I was left extremely shocked after the incident.”
