Babul Bihari started his career as a Bhojpuri singer. He has gained immense popularity for singing the Bhojpuri songs ‘Kekar Baap Ke Darr’ (2019), ‘Bansi Ke Saali Sapanwa Mein Aati Hai’ (2021), and ‘Lehnga Utha Ke’ (2022). Controversy
Accused of Raping a Minor
In June 2023, Babul Bihari was arrested by the Gurugram Police for allegedly raping a minor girl and posting objectionable pictures on his social media handles after an FIR was lodged against him at the Sector 14 police station under relevant sections of the POCSO and IT Act by the victim’s family. Apparently, two years back when Babul Bihari used to live in Gurugram’s Rajiv Nagar area, he befriended a 13-year-old girl. A few days later, he took her to a hotel, where he allegedly raped her and clicked a few objectional pictures of her. The victim kept the matter a secret.
