Aarya Babbar is an Indian actor, who mainly works in Punjabi and Hindi films. He is known for being the son of the veteran Indian actor and politician Raj Babbar.

Aarya Babbar was born on Sunday, 24 May 1981 (age 42 years; as of 2023) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Gemini.
He did his schooling at Methodist High School, Kanpur. He then pursued a B.Sc at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Later, he did a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur, Rajasthan. He also did a two-month course in film appreciation from the American Film Institute. He did his acting training under Kishore Namit Kapoor (actor) and action training under Bhiku Verma and Jabbar Khan. He learnt dancing under the renowned Indian choreographer Saroj Khan. In 2002, he made his Hindi film debut with ‘Ab Ke Baras’ in which he played the role of Karan/Abhay.
Some of his other Hindi films are ‘Guru’ (2007), ‘Ready’ (2011), ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ (2013), ‘Bangistan’ (2015), and ‘Hai Tujhe Salaam India’ (2022).

Facts/Trivia
- His real name is Sajjad Babbar taken from his maternal grandfather’s name Sajjad Zaheer. Before making his debut in Hindi films the Indian film critic Khalid Mohammed who wanted to cast Aarya in his film, told his parents that he must change his name as his name sounded like a Muslim and people would get confused whether he was a Hindu, Muslim, or a Sikh. - In an interview, he shared that since his younger days, he was interested in acting. He said,
