Tom Banton was born on Wednesday, 11 November 1998 (age 22 years; as of 2020) in Chiltern, Buckinghamshire, England. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Tom started playing cricket when he was studying at Bromsgrove School, England. Tom was enrolled in Warwickshire County Cricket Club and played for U-14, U-17, and U-19 teams of the academy. Tom Banton completed his formal education at Bromsgrove School, and went on to King’s College, Taunton to pursue his degree.

Career

While Tom was studying in college, he played both hockey and cricket for the U-17 team of the college. Phil Lewis, a former English cricketer and his housemaster in college, was impressed by his performance, and under his guidance, Tom preferred cricket over other sports. Tom was tried by the director of the Somerset Academy, Steve Snell to be a part of the academy cricket team. He was later signed by the academy to be a part of their team. Tom made his debut in Twenty20 cricket for Somerset during the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast, and he made his first-class debut for the same in the 2018 County Championship in September 2018. He has played for several domestic teams and leagues like the Brisbane Heat in the Australian Big Bash League and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League in December 2019  He has played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 Indian Premier League. In 2017, he joined England’s squad for the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Tom Banton played against New Zealand making his T20I debut for England in 2019. After getting inducted into England’s national cricket team, he made his ODI debut on 4 February 2020 against South Africa.
