Tanvi Sonigra is an Indian actress and theatre artist who works in the Indian entertainment industry. She is best known for her role of Vipassana in the OTT show Girls Hostel- season 3 (2022).
Tanvi Lehr Sonigra was born on 16 April in Mumbai. Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She did her schooling at Dominic Savio Vidyalaya in Mumbai and also studied French at Alliance Française de Bombay. In 2014, she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce in Mumbai. In 2018, Tanvi earned a post-graduate diploma in acting and theatre-making from the Drama School Mumbai.

Her father’s name is Naresh Popatlal Sonigra and her mother’s name is Indira. Tanvi has an elder sister named Riddhima Sonigra, who is a dancer.
In 2014, she began her theatre journey by performing in several intercollegiate plays and state-level festivals including Thespo, Adi Marzban, IPTA, and Bhavai. She acted and puppeteered in a multilingual and devised play called Mujer with the UK-based director Trina Halder and acted in a dramatized reading of ‘You Shall Give Me Grandsons.’ Tanvi has been a part of many productions by well-known directors such as Manoj Shah, Kamlesh Mohta, and Abhishek Majumdar. She has also been the stage manager of a number of shows for theatre directors including Sheena Khalid, Puja Sarup, and Niketan Sharma. After graduating from NSD, she performed in an interdisciplinary art show called ‘A Mad Tea Party’ (by Ragini Singh Khushwaha and Akshat Nigam). She took part in a physical theatre workshop called Moksha- A Dance Retreat in Nature. In this workshop, she was trained under established theatre artists such as Rob Hayden, Clementine Telesfort, and Eleanore PB following which she directed and wrote a solo piece called ‘Rapunzel 2.0.’

In 2022, she appeared as Vipassana in the popular web series Girls Hostel- season 3 and shared the screen with popular actors such as Jayati Bhatia, Ahsaas Channa, Parul Gulati, and Srishti Shrivastava, on SonyLIV.
In 2021, she appeared in a video, which is a part of the #EmpowermentNotAge campaign. The title of the video was ‘Sorry Thank You Tata Bye-Bye!.’
