Television
Tanuj Mahashabde was active in theatre for almost 15 years. He wrote dialogues and scripts for many shows in collaboration with other writers. He debuted with the Sony TV series Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen (2000). He was part of many series produced by Asit Kumarr Modi of Neela Film Productions. He played a small role in the series C.I.D.

It was the role of Scientist Krishnan Subramanian Iyer in the longest-running series, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, that made his name popular. It first aired in June 2008 on the Sony SAB television channel.
