• In a statement, ACP V.R. Malhotra of the Surat Police revealed that Tania had called cricket player Abhishek before taking her own life, but he did not respond. In the statement, he further said,
  

  We have so far learnt this much that cricketer was friends with the deceased. More details will be known in the investigation… We have not contacted the cricketer yet but we will send him a notice.”
