On 3 August 2021, Shalini Talwar accused her husband, Honey Singh, and his family of domestic violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, and adultery. A plea was filed against him in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court, under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act seeking protection and other reliefs [3]The Indian Express. Furthermore, she claimed that once her father-in-law, Sarabjit Singh, walked into her room in an intoxicated condition while she was changing her clothes and grazed his hands over her chest.
