In 1987, Mr. Bhasin, post completing his formal education, started working as the director of the HB Group Ltd., a Delhi-based company that manufactures metal pipe fittings. He worked there for 18 years, and he quit that job in 2005 to take up a similar position in the Deutsche Bank (a German investment banking firm) where he worked till 2009. Sanjiv has also worked as a consultant for the ICICI Direct and NDTV. He joined IIFL in 2015 as a consultant and gradually got promoted to the position of the director of Gurugram branch of IIFL Securities Ltd. Sanjiv’s in-depth knowledge of the stock market earned him his own news segment on the popular business news channels, Zee Business and CNBC TV18, titled ‘Bhasin Ke Haseen Share.’
His articles, relating to the stock market strategies and queries, are often published in newspapers.

Sanjiv took to YouTube in September 2019 to educate people about the tactics of the world of stocks. He made videos answering the questions of novice traders and counselled them about the risks and benefits of the stock market. Mr. Bhasin soon became a reliable source of information for people following his advice. His subscriber base increased rapidly on YouTube, reaching to 172K in 2020.
