Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was born on Wednesday, 6 November 1996 (Age 24 years; as in 2020) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Ravisrinivasan completed his schooling from Vyasa Vidhyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai. He was a school topper and during this time he started playing cricket for the school team. Ravisrinivasan kept performing well in the field and he made his List A cricket debut for Tamil Nadu in 2016-17.

Career

R Sai Kishore started playing cricket in school and he was part of the school team. Upon completing his school, R Sai Kishore joined an engineering college but soon realized that he could not connect with the path he was on. He decided to drop out of college as during this time he was playing for the U-19 domestic team. Ravisrinivasan was playing for the Tamil Nadu team and they won both, Vijay Hazare and Deodhar titles in 2016-17. His first-class debut took place in 2017-18 and he has played several times in the Ranji Trophy. In the 2020 Indian Premier League, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was bought by Chennai Super Kings for the base price of Rs. 20 lakhs.

  • In 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, he became the leading wicket-taker for the series with 22 wickets in six matches.
  • Ravisrinivasan dropped out of engineering college but he was still keen on learning something new. Along with his cricket practice and matches, R Sai Kishore is pursuing MBA in Analytics. His interest in analytics and data motivated him to proceed in this direction. It also helps him in understanding the stats of every match to improve his performance.
  • In 2019, R Sai Kishore attended the Chennai Super Kings cricket camp and practiced with the team. He bowled well to the players but M.S. Dhoni kept him on his feet with his batting. This helped him realize that he needs to improve his game before entering bigger leagues. He couldn’t make it to the CSK team in 2019 because of a lack of franchises.
