Career
After completing her studies, Priti Adani started working as a dentist. She was appointed as the chairperson of the Adani Foundation in 1996. After the Bhuj Earthquake in 2001, she began a school in Mundra, Gujarat and named it ‘the Adani DAV School.’ Later, the name of this school was changed to Adani Public School. In Bhadreshwar (near Mundra) and Ahmedabad, Priti Adani and her husband founded Adani Vidya Mandir school in June 2009. The motto of this school was to provide free of cost higher secondary education to deprived and needful children.
Priti Adani is also the chairperson of the world’s largest tribal institution and tribal university – Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Residential School, Delhi.
On 16 May 2016, Priti Adani started managing the Adani Skill Development Centre named ‘SAKSHAM,’ which was initiated to make the youth of India capable by providing them World Class Skill Development Training in these centres. In 2018-19, Adani Group’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) budget rose from Rs 95 crore to Rs 128 crore under Priti’s guidance and leadership.

- In a conversation with a media house, Priti Adani was asked that how much time and money she invested in Adani Foundation. She then replied,
I entered this field by choice. You know, when one chooses to work in the philanthropic sphere, one will see worldwide there are common three attributes – compassion, conviction and commitment. In this scenario, time is no constraint, one has to invest unlimited time.”
Priti Adani further explained how the Adani foundation started working charitable works,
We started about two decades back. It started with a very small but simple initiative and gradually evolved to a lifecycle approach. Our goals are addressed to serve the needs and aspirations of the needy and marginalised sections of society, or “the last man on the developmental queue”. We focus on rural areas. The initiatives we have can be broadly divided into two categories: One is a Collective Impact Programme where we work in the core areas of education, community health and livelihood rural infrastructure, and address a particular geography.”
