Controversies
Inappropriate Remarks Regarding an Actress
In 2015, during an episode of Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee’s reality show, Parambrata Chatterjee became unintentionally involved in a controversy due to comments made by his co-guest, actor Rudranil Ghosh. While conversing with the host, Ghosh said that both actors were romantically involved with the same girl. He went further, making an inappropriate and cringe-worthy remark with a sexual connotation, describing the girl as a ‘playground’ where he ‘played’ in the morning, and Parambrata ‘played’ in the evening. The girl in question responded by filing a defamation case against the two actors. However, some media reports dismissed the incident as a ‘poor publicity stunt by the makers.’ [8]The Times of India

In the 2022 Bengali film ‘Abhijaan,’ Poulami Bose accused director Parambrata of distorting real events, overlooking crucial people and aspects of his life, and incorporating her son’s accident in the film without consent.
