Pankaj Mohite was born on Monday, 25 October 1999 (age 24 years; as of 2023) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He pursued his graduation at Maharshi Dayanand College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Parel, Mumbai. Pankaj lost his father when he was twelve years old. Pankaj liked to play Kabaddi in the nearby Kabaddi ground with his neighbourhood friends. His interest peaked as he began to improve at the game, and he decided to pursue a career in Kabaddi.

SSG Foundation

While studying at college, Pankaj joined the SSG Foundation in Mumbai. He improved his skills at the foundational and has played many district and state-level Kabaddi tournaments for the SSG foundation. Pankaj has played for many local groups as well as big companies like Dena Bank and Air India.

Maharashtra State Kabaddi Team

In February 2019, Pankaj was part of the team that represented Maharashtra at the 45th Junior National Kabaddi Championship held in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Railway Kabaddi Team 

In 2022, Pankaj Mohite was part of the team representing Indian railways at the 69th Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship.

Khelo India Games

He participated in the first-ever Khelo India Games 2020 and represented Maharashtra. Puneri Paltan took him up as a result of his success at the Khelo India and Junior National.

Pro Kabaddi League

Pankaj Mohite made his debut in season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League with Puneri Paltans. He played for the first time at the 17th Match of the Pro Kabaddi League 2019 against Bengal Warriors and scored 6 raid points. He played a total of 16 matches during the tournament. He maintained a raid strike rate of 53 per cent and a tackle strike rate of 20 per cent. He earned 113 points overall in the tournament.

 

In 2021, Pankaj Mohite was retained by Puneri Paltans for the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League in category C. In 2022, he was again retained by Puneri Paltans for the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League as a category C raider for Rs. 22 Lakhs.
