I dropped out from MBBS in March. I am currently doing Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports from GNDU in Amritsar. I don’t know. It is my parents’ decision. That is not in my hands. I can’t do anything. I can go for Civil Services also.”
In 2023, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

Sift Kaur Samra started her career as a sports shooter in 2019. She has won many medals in several championships such as the National Shooting Championships (2019, 2022), Khelo India Shooting Championships (2020), Junior World Cup Shooting Championships (2022), World University Games (2022), and Asian Games (2023). In September 2023, Sift Kaur Samra took part in the Asian games where she broke the world record in the Women’s 50-metre rifle 3P event by a margin of 2.6 points. She scored a total of 469.6 points, with 154.6 in kneeling, 157.9 in prone, and 157.1 in standing elimination. She defeated Chinese player Qiongyue Zhang. She was also a part of the Women’s 50-metre rifle 3P team event in the Asian Games, where her team secured the second position.
