Career

Child Artist

Nithya Shetty started her career as a child artist in 1999 with the Telugu film Chinni Chinni Aasa. She then played the role of Bhavani in the Telugu film Devullu.

In 2001, she played the titular role in the Hindi film Maya. Some of her popular Telugu films as a child artist include Little Hearts (2000), Mounamelanoyi (2002), and Anji (2004). After working in around 20 films as a child actress, Nithya decided to take a break from acting and concentrate on her higher studies.

Corporate Job

After completing her graduation, Nitya Shetty was campus placed at Infosys, Hyderabad, as a system engineer. She worked there for around two years and then resigned from her job as she desired to pursue a career in acting. From January 2015 to October 2015, she worked as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Geethika Tradelinks Ltd.

Film

She made her debut as an actress in 2016 with the Telugu film Padesave (a triangular love story) in which she played the role of Niharika, a chirpy teenager full of life.

Subsequently, she appeared in the Tamil films Kaadhal Kaalam (2017) and Aghavan (2019). Later, she appeared in the Telugu films Nuvvu Thopu Raa (2019), O Pitta Katha (2020), and Wanted Pandugod (2022). However, none of the films earned her recognition.

Web Series

In 2022, Nitya Shetty appeared in the Telugu web series Hello World as Pravalika Jaladhanki. The series streamed on ZEE5.

Nitya Shetty has been featured in print shoots for various apparel and jewellery brands.

In 2018, she walked the ramp for Kirti Rathore at the Lakme India Kids Fashion Week season 6.

In April 2023, Nithya stirred controversy for posting a semi-nude video of herself on social media in which she could be seen wearing just a towel and posing in her bathroom.
