YouTube & Theatre

Nagabhushana joined Mime Rajesh’s theatre group named GPIER as he was interested in acting. He quit his government job as a Panchayat Development Officer to pursue a career in acting.

In 2016, he started a YouTube channel named Karnataka Entertainment Board (KEB) with his friends and started making videos related to social issues through comedy. He gained fame with a video Lucia Pawan has HFPS Disease related to social media addiction which featured noted Kannada actor and director Pawan Kumar and his wife.

 

Film

He made his debut in 2016 with Badmaash as a media reporter which featured Dhananjaya and Sanchita Shetty in lead roles. He later acted in many films including Sankashta Kara Ganapathi in 2018 as Bhushan, Ikkat in 2021 as Vasu, Lucky Man in 2022 as Shetty, and Daredevil Musthafa in 2023 as Sarpabhushana.

Web Series

He made his web series debut in 2021 with Honeymoon which streamed on Aha; he played the role of Praveen and acted alongside Sanjana Anand. He also wrote the story and screenplay of the web series.

Controversy

Road Accident

On the night of 30 September 2023, around 9:45 pm, he was driving his car, a Kia Seltos numbered KA 09 MG 5335, and hit a couple namely Krishna B, aged 58 years, and his wife Prema S, aged 48 years, at Konanakunte cross under the jurisdiction of Kumaraswamy Layout Traffic Police Station.

Nagabhushan said that he had gone to R. R. Nagar to meet his friends and was returning to his home in J. P. Nagar. He said that the couple came on the road from the footpath, and he hit them. He tried to take them to the hospital in his car; however, his car did not start, hence he took them to the hospital in an autorickshaw. Prema died while going to the hospital, and Krishna was severely injured in the head, chest, and legs.

An FIR was registered at the Kumaraswamy under the IPC Sections 279, 337 and 304A by the couple’s son, Partha, who works in a private company. On 1 October 2023, Nagabhushana was given a station bail as DCP (Traffic, South) Shiva Prakash Devaraj said that it was not a hit-and-run case and was an accident case instead.
