Film
Prajwal Devaraj’s acting career started as a child artist in the film Channappa Channegowda (1999). His debut film as a lead actor was the Kannada film Sixer (2007) in which he essayed a teenager named Rahul working for an underworld don. He won the Star Suvarna’s Suvarna Best Debut Actor Award for his role in this film. His next film Geleya (2007) was commercially successful in which he essayed a character named Guru working for an anti-social group.
Some of the notable characters played by him during the early years of his career were VijayKumar in the film Meravanige (2008), Murali in the film Murali Meets Meera (2011), Subramanya Sastry in the film Super Shastri (2012), and Abhi in the film Galaate (2013).
He essayed the role of an assistant director named Dev in the Kannada film Neenade Naa (2014) which was produced by Prajwal’s father, Devaraj. His 25th film was Bhujanga (2016) in which he played the title character Bhujanga. The film Chowka (2017) was a milestone in his career graph in which he played one of the lead characters named Mohammed Anwar, a convict.
His character Bharath in the film Gentleman (2020) was well-appreciated by the critics and the audience. He won the SIIMA Best Actor – Critics award for this character.
Some of the other notable characters are Vikram, a police sub-inspector, in the action thriller film Inspector Vikram (2021), Veeru in the film Veeram (2023), and Police Inspector Arvind Aswatthama in the film Tatsama Tadbhava (2023).
