Mudassar Khan was born on 20 October 1987 in Mumbai in a lower-middle-class family. He went to M.T.S. Khalas High School, Goregaon for his high school and completed his graduation from Prakash Degree College, Kandivali. He developed an interest in dancing at a tender age of eight. His family was facing some financial issues. So, he started teaching dance in schools to earn some money and help his family. He was always passionate about dancing. But he had never thought of making it as a profession. But due to the financial crisis, he started working as a choreographer and dance teacher.
Muddassar Khan participated and won many dance competitions. In one of such competitions, Muddassar Khan got the opportunity to meet Salman Khan. Salman Khan was impressed by his choreography in the competition and offered him a song in his next film. From here his journey as a choreographer started.

Muddassar Khan belongs to a lower-middle-class Muslim family settled in Mumbai. Like any other Indian parent, his parents were also worried about his future and was not that much supportive of his dancing. But now they also encourage him. He has a sister, named Farheen Khan (married) and a brother.
Muddassar Khan has a huge fan following and receives a number of proposals every day but he has got someone special in his life. His friend and choreographer Abhishri Sen is the lucky girl who made him lose his heart.
Muddassar Khan, the young and talented choreographer, known for his different signature steps in every song, started dancing at the age of eight. At the beginning, dancing was his hobby and he just wanted to learn it as a hobby only. Due to his financial condition, when he was just 13-14 years old, he started teaching dance at Thakur Public School, Kandivali, Mumbai. He worked there from 2001 to 2007 and also taught dance at a few different dance academies. Later in 2004, he formed a hip-hop dance group Sharp Shooters.
He used to participate in different dance competitions with his group and solo. He was performing at a dance competition in a mall in Mumbai which was being judged by Salman Khan. Muddassar’s team won the competition and he got the chance to choreograph a song in Salman Khan‘s movie Dabbang. According to Muddassar, Salman Khan is a God-sent-man who changed his life; as after Dabbang, there was no looking back for him.
After Dabbang, he choreographed many other songs for Salman Khan but he came into limelight from DID Season 4 (2013), where he was one of three judges of the show. Later he was the judge for DID Lil Masters Season 3 (2004) following Dance Singapore Dance Season 2 (2017) and DID Season 6 (2017).
From 2010 to 2017, he has worked for over 20 films as a choreographer including Dabbang 1 & 2, Ishkq in Paris, Boss, Jai Ho, Fugly, O Teri, Kick, Ram Leela.
